December was a busy month with holiday preparations and fun adventures. We always enjoy decorating the house for Christmas, and this year Hailey and Megan especially loved decorating the tree. It was fun to see them get excited about the different ornaments and find the perfect branch to hang them on (even if that branch already had an ornament or two).
Sometimes putting ALL those ornaments on the tree is hard work.
We attended our first Twinkle Light Parade, and although Megan's face shows that she wasn't a big fan of the cold and sleet, we all had a great time seeing the lights and dancing to the music.
The girls enjoyed pointing out their favorite displays at the River of Lights, and even found some new ones to check out this year.
Hailey loved listening to the choir singing Christmas Carols and even joined in on the ones she knew. The mood was perfect for some sisterly love.
In early December, we got several inches of snow, which meant bundling up and going out to play. Hailey was quick to run around and make snow angels, while Megan was a little more cautious and liked to carry snowballs around.
Even Maddie put on her booties and went out to play. She loves to run around, burrow in, and eat the snow.
Of course, nothing beats a nice cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows to warm up.
