The Pumpkin Patch

Over the last few weeks, we've gone to the pumpkin patch three times and had a lot of fun.  The girls loved finding their way through the hay bale maze, dressing up scarecrows, taking a hay ride and searching for the perfect pumpkin.
Megan got an early start on learning how to drive a John Deere.  Unfortunately, she has a ways to go to reach the pedals but enjoyed her Mommy-powered ride.
Hailey took her first horse ride and loved it.  She said that the horse, Tootsie, was "so nice and friendly" and probably would have loved to keep riding all day.
Megan was also drawn to the horses and can't wait to get big enough to go for a ride.
When told that she could pick out any pumpkin in the patch, Hailey was very sensible and picked out a 'cute' one that she could carry all by herself.
The corn pit was a huge hit with both girls.
Hailey and her friend Kate were our leaders through the corn maze and after only one wrong turn, we actually found our way out.
Megan walked almost the whole maze by herself and thought it was so much fun.
Hailey and Megan enjoyed seeing all the animals and found a friendly donkey to pet.
We ultimately brought home four pumpkins, some stowaway corn and hay, and two happy girls full of smiles.  What a wonderful way to enjoy fall.

The GREAT PUMPKIN wishes Hailey and Megan a Happy Halloween. Did you see him hiding in the pumpkin patch?

Next time Hailey is in Oregon, Aunt Kirsten will have to find a horse for her to ride -- Maybe a John Deere for Megan too

Loved the pictures, keep them coming. Love Grandpa & Gramma in Oregon
