Hailey had so much fun trick-or-treating tonight with her friends.
We weren't sure if she'd understand the concept, but from the very beginning, she was so excited. She quickly went house to house yelling "trick-or-treat" before she even got to the door and then said "come on, let's go to the next house" and "I got some candy ". She even warmed up to everyone handing out candy and said "I'm going to eat my candy later at home" and waved goodbye as she left their door. Megan enjoyed coming along too and was entertained looking at all the kids in their costumes.
Hailey enjoyed getting our pumpkins ready for Halloween. She helped find the perfect one at the pumpkin patch.

She actually enjoyed reaching in to pull out the seeds.

Hailey requested that we make "happy jack-o-lanterns, not scary ones" and when she saw the final product, she said they "turned out very nice".

All in all, Halloween was a lot of fun. Now, we just have to figure out how to survive the sugar rush that follows.

Those are indeed happy jack-o-lanterns. We're glad that Hailey had so much fun trick-or-treating and that she'll share her candy with Megan (though it might be somewhat stale by the time Megan can eat it).
Happy jack-o-lanterns...that's awesome! Hailey always looks like she's having the "best time ever!" Great pics!
