To beat the heat, we headed to the water spray fountains, one of the girls' favorite spots to cool off. Hailey loved chasing and catching the water the whole time, while Megan played for a bit and then preferred to be a spectator.
We headed up to Winter Park for a few days to cool off and enjoy some new adventures.
Hailey and Megan got a chess lesson from Uncle Kevin and later practiced their new skills back at the house.
There were a lot of fun things to explore and the girls loved these giant chairs.
We spent an entire day taking in the resort activities with a lot of firsts for the kids. While riding the chairlift, Hailey kept mentioning how high up we were, but nobody was scared and they mastered the on/off very quickly (I guess it's about time for some skis!)The alpine slide was everyone's favorite activity, and we soon lost count of the number of times we rode down. Hailey kept telling everyone she rode with to go "faster, faster" while Megan was a silent rider with a big smile on her face.
Both girls enjoyed the trampoline jump and even tried out a small zip line.
Hailey tried her skills at rock climbing,
while Megan took time to re-energize with a little nap on Grandpa.
We took the scenic route through Rocky Mountain National Park on our way back to town and were fortunate to see a mommy moose with her two babies right by the side of the road.We had a wonderful time on all our fun adventures and a great time visiting with family.
Many thanks to Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Kevin for all the great times and wonderful memories. We appreciate everything and had so much fun with all of you.
