We've enjoyed more holiday fun the last few days including another light display and some cookie baking and decorating. Hailey decorated a gingerbread house which, despite the amount of candy consumed during it's making, is almost completely covered with candy.
In true Hailey fashion, she was proud to show off her finished house.
Megan enjoyed watching the 'big kids' with their gingerbread houses, but didn't catch the decorating bug. She much preferred taste testing all the candy, un-decorating her gingerbread man, and digging right in for the good stuff.
The girls had mixed emotions at our visit with Santa this year. Hailey was a bit hesitant at first but then wanted to ask Santa for the books she wants for Christmas (of course the promise of a candy cane helped to ease her nerves too). Megan, on the other hand, loves to point out pictures of Santa and runs around saying "Ho, Ho, Ho", but wasn't too sure about the big guy when placed on his lap. They both looked adorable in their Christmas pajamas and Megan even made up with Santa later from the comfort of Mommy's arms.
