We recently took a trip to the Oregon coast and Hailey loved it! We met Grandma and Grandpa from Colorado and Uncle Kevin there to celebrate Grandma's birthday.

Hailey jumped up and down with excitement to see all the birds, waves, and dogs on the beach. She loved to walk in the sand and walked fearlessly into the waves, without any reaction to the cold water. She chased the waves back and forth with Uncle Kevin and stood and watched the waves with Daddy. We're pretty sure she could have done it all day.

Hailey enjoyed playing in the sand and managed to get it everywhere! She practiced filling up her bucket using her shovel and knocked down sand castles faster than Grandpa and Kevin could build them.

During low tide, we explored the tide pools to see star fish, hermit crabs and sea anemones. Hailey liked to be closer to the birds that nest on Haystack Rock and enjoyed looking into the pools, even though she wasn't brave enough to touch a starfish.
We all had a wonderful trip and enjoyed visiting with both sides of the family, playing in the sand, and taking in the beautiful scenery. We even caught a pretty sunset and can't wait to go back again soon.

Hey! I love the pics from the trip to the Coast. Cannon Beach is my favorite place along the Oregon Coast. It looks like you guys had some great weather. Fabulous introduction for Hailey; she can learn about the other 320days of rain later. Let her think it is just like NM, always sunny.
See you guys in August
LOVE the close-up shot with just a hint of Haystack Rock in the background.
Adorable! Looks like you all had a great time!
