Our Little Patient
Last week, we took Hailey to the ER where we discovered she had appendicitis and had surgery to remove her appendix. Although it was difficult to see someone so young and little go through this, Hailey was quite a trooper and did really well (as long as there were no needles involved). Of course Hippo was by her side to help her feel better too.
After spending 5 days in the hospital, we were all anxious to be back home and together again. Megan was not allowed in the unit where Hailey was staying so the few hallway visits we had were full of hugs and a lot of holding hands.
Back at home, Hailey is recovering well and certainly getting back to her normal self. Fortunately, she won't have to worry about this again in her lifetime, and we are so proud of how tough she was. Many thanks to our family and friends for your care, concern, prayers, and thoughtfulness for all of us. We are so happy you are feeling better, Hailey!

We're so proud of Hailey's courage and are most happy she is home and recovering fast! You ALL did a fantastic job just hanging in there together as a family.

So happy you're feeling better indeed, Hailey! Whew, what a week you all had!! Although the experience was less than sweet, the pictures you managed to capture sure are. Hope it's smooth sailing from here on out :0)
I am so happy to hear that Hailey is doing so much better. I love the sister photos. Makes me think of how lucky we are to have two girls that already love each other so much.
