Fun and Fireworks in Colorado

We headed up to Colorado at the beginning of July to visit family and celebrate the fourth.  Our holiday was filled with red, white, and blue and a lot of flag waving by the little ones.
We rounded out the day with sparklers and watched the city fireworks display.  Hailey and Megan were filled with "oohs" and "aahs" and kept pointing out their favorite shapes and colors.
The rest of our visit was filled with family and fun adventures.  Of course, the girls requested a repeat visit to the carousel where they were treated to ride after ride after ride on their favorite animals.
We beat the July heat at the fountains where Hailey jumped right in and had a blast both avoiding and chasing the water sprays.
Megan was a bit more reserved and finally got up the courage to stick a toe in.
However, with a little encouragement and guidance from her big sister, Megan got right out into the middle of the fountains and had a good time.
For the rest of the week, we enjoyed walks to the park,
feeding the fish in Uncle Kevin's ponds,
taking dance lessons from Grandpa,
and lots of playtime and snuggle time with family.
Thank you Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle Kevin for the wonderful visit and special memories!  We had a great time and the girls still talk about all the fun.
