Happy New Year! Our 2011 has been off to a good but busy start. We've spent our chilly days playing inside but have also been able to enjoy some warm sunshine at the park.
Hailey has started back at school after the holiday break and is still loving it. She has found a new love for drawing and her favorite subjects are camels resting, sloths, and rainbows (of course). Hailey often sings around the house, both familiar songs, and made up songs about whatever she is doing.
Megan loves to follow her big sister around and copies almost everything that Hailey does. Her vocabulary is growing every day and Hailey loves to teach her new words. Megan enjoys playing with her dolls and shows such compassion for them as she feeds, rocks and and tucks them into bed.
We took a tour of a local fire station and both girls enjoyed seeing the fireman gear and all the lights of the truck. Hailey got to climb through the cab of the fire truck and see all the gear inside.
Megan thought climbing up on the back of the truck was pretty special and was happy to just sit and relax for a bit.
We celebrated Kim's birthday with a nice dinner out and a special cake made by Andrew, Hailey and Megan. Thanks for the special day!
It is so fun to see Hailey and Megan grow together and share that special bond of sisterhood. They often play together and share many giggles, hugs, and kisses throughout the day. One of their favorite times is snuggling together before bed to share a story and prepare for sweet dreams.

Cute posts (this and the Christmas one - I'm behind!)... Megan is precious with her pigtails on the firetruck, and I really have to check out some of Hailey's sloth art!!
