Happy 4th of July!

We had a fun day filled with red, white, and blue as we celebrated the 4th of July. It started off with the Village of Corrales parade, where we enjoyed decorated cars, firetrucks, chickens, donkeys, horses and even a goat pulling a cart. Hailey loved waving her flag and all the free candy, and Megan loved her birds-eye view of all the action from the backpack.
We had a wonderful barbecue with friends followed by some outdoor playtime with water balloons, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, and much more. We finished off the day with sparklers and watching the fireworks around the neighborhood. Despite days of anticipation and excitement about the sparklers, Hailey tried one and then decided that she would rather just watch. Megan loved the bright light and thought she was ready to try one herself.
We hope you all had a wonderful day celebrating our Nation's independence and had some fireworks to brighten up your night.
